Hi,
I'm setting up a network install with the SQL Server 2012 media. With past versions, I maintain media by edition and version. In looking at the download page on the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center, I see SQL 2012 by edition and licensing model (core or server/cal). We use server/cal internally and core for stuff linked to the public web sites. Is the media actually different? Also, do I still need to maintain separate media by edition?
Can I use one version of the media and provide PID that will determine the edition and license model? I use a commandline setup, so it would be easy for me to provide the PID. We are mostly DEV and STD on the server/cal model. ENT and core are more rare for us.
Thanks
