On a new server (Win server 2008), with 3 drive partitions what would be advisable when restoring databases? By that I mean I was advised to leave the c drive for the system and Sql server and use the d drive for all mdb files and the e drive for ldf files.
Would this be correct for best performance and disaster recovery scenarios? Any other advisable setups anyone would like to share including memory tweaks etc?
